Flight and Arrival Recommendations

If you're coming from outside of Spain, the best option is to fly into Malaga Airport (AGP). It's the closest international airport and generally the most affordable.

Here are three options to reach the retreat venue:

  1. Carpool with locals
A Facebook group will be set up where you can coordinate meeting at a bus or train station in Malaga and catch a ride with locals driving to the retreat. You can pitch in for gas/petrol, but this option depends on someone being available to drive from Malaga.

  2. Share a rental car
You can also find other attendees to share the cost of a rental car from the airport. The drive from Malaga to the venue takes about 1.5 hours.

  3. Public transportation
Take the airport bus in Malaga to the bus or train station (€4 one way), then catch a bus or train to Granada.

    • Trains: The trip to Granada takes about 1.5 hours. Tickets range from €30-80 depending on the date and how far in advance you book. Check availability at renfe.es.

    • Buses: A cheaper option, though it takes longer (about 2.5 hours). One-way tickets are around €14. You can book through alsa.es.

Once in Granada, I have contacts for a reliable taxi service that can pick you up from the bus or train station. Each taxi holds up to 6 people and costs €90 per trip, so if 6 people share, it’s only €15 per person. You can organize this through the Facebook group as well.

This makes getting to the retreat simple and affordable!

See you in Spain!!
